Caprice Chalet - Sewing Room Themed Rooms

At the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a rental category. This post will look at the sewing room themed rooms and renting them to characters.

Sewing themed rooms are set up to look like a studio or sewing room a designer would work out of. They must contain a sewing machine, sewing table and a number of bust items from the clothing display miniatures section. You can also place down a few small miniatures such as the sewing kit and other decorative items. Sewing themed rooms are simiular to boutique rooms as they will feature a large amount of clothing items displayed on busts. It can be tricky to find the right amount of busts and displays needed for a sewing room as if there is the incorrect amount, characters will not request to rent out the room at all as it has no certain theme. Three to four busts plus a clothing display rack is a good amount to place in the room.

Characters will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With sewing room themed rooms, the character will talk about how they love your designs you have been making at the Designer Lounge and would love to make clothes just like you.

The character will request to rent the room out and you can either select yes or no. The rental periods for rooms is 24 hours and renting out rooms is a good method for earning money without effort in the game.

Characters will stay in the Caprice Chalet room for about 24 hours. When you visit the Caprice Chalet, rooms that are rented out will have a small person icon displayed on them. If you select this room during the rental period, the character will tell you how they are going or how business is doing. Visit the room after the 24 hour period and the character is ready to leave the room. They will thank you for allowing them to rent the room and tell you how they went. The character will then pay you the rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for sewing room themed rooms is $1000.

  1. I actually have a sewing themed room that has no busts or clothing items in it whatsoever. Just a sewing machine and a table that has something to do with sewing then like a sewing kit and the rest of the room is mostly the Christmas themed decorations. I'd only put the sewing stuff in there originally because I just needed something that looked antique to finish the room.

This does explain though why my other attempt at a sewing room didn't work.
