Caprice Chalet - Fortune Teller Room

At the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a rental category. This post will look at the Fortune Teller themed rooms and renting them to characters.

Fortune Teller rooms are pretty simple to explain, they are rooms set up like a Fortune Teller's business. The main item this type of room requires is a crystal ball. Even if you decorate a gothic themed room such as a bedroom and place a crystal ball in it, they may refer to it as a fortune teller room. There are three different coloured crystal balls available to collect in the game. Fortune Teller rooms can be set up with a gothic theme and there is plenty of dark coloured furniture pieces that you can use.

Characters will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With fortune teller themed rooms, the character ask you if you've heard of the local fortune teller and that they would like to try to do her job.

The character will request to rent the room out and you can either select yes or no. The rental periods for rooms is 24 hours and renting out rooms is a good method for earning money without effort in the game.

Characters will stay in the Caprice Chalet room for about 24 hours. When you visit the Caprice Chalet, rooms that are rented out will have a small person icon displayed on them. If you select this room during the rental period, the character will tell you how they are going or how business is doing. Visit the room after the 24 hour period and the character is ready to leave the room. They will thank you for allowing them to rent the room and tell you how they went. The character will then pay you the rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for fortune teller themed rooms is $1000.

  1. Hey, how are you doing? Thanks for making this guide! I didn't mean to step out of my line, but it's not necessary to wait for 24 hours as long you rent it out, say like 2 hours before the next day. Voila, you could collect the money easier! ...Sorry, if you actually wrote about this somewhere. Once again, thank you for sharing your information.

    1. Ah yes! You can rent them out for shorter time, but sometimes it hasn't worked for me. I just wrote 24 hours as a general idea as I though most people would be playing the game about a day after they originally agreed to the request.

    2. Great! Sorry for the late reply, your setting above works well. I just put any table I can find with a sofa. Minimal decoration, but it did the trick. Yes, crystal ball, dark theme flooring and wallpaper. Happy to have $1000 comes with just these miniatures. ...And I actually feel guiltily bad for renting to customers just for 5 min xD

    3. Haha whatever makes money the quickest. I find the game doesn't let you do too short of a rent time sometimes, but maybe its just the EUR/AUS version. I haven't tried doing it for a while because I usually play at the same time each day.

    1. The purple crystal ball can be purchased from the Miniatures Shop and the gold crystal ball is given as a gift by NPC's from visiting events with them.
