September Poll Results - Favourite Character

Another successful poll for this month has been completed! The question for September was 'Who is your favourite character in Style Boutique 2?' and there was a 110 votes this month.

So the results are in and here are the results:
1st = Sophie
2nd = Ricky
3rd = Callie, Rainbow, Zoey & Leonora
4th = Laurie, Magda, Xiaoling, Tarquin & The Stylettos
5th = Kristy & Arabella
6th = Evie & Adelaide
7th = Sasha & Noor

There was a large amount of answers to choose from in the poll, but it was a landslide victory for Sophie with 39% of the votes! Ricky came second with 10% of the votes and that doesn't surprise me considering see many players saying they wish they could date Ricky in the game. All the other places had ties for votes and I was surprised to see the Stylettos high on the list!

Since Halloween is coming up, the new poll for October will be 'What Purple Moon costume will you be dressing up in for Halloween?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is under the game box images. If you cannot view the poll, please visit the blog using the web version. The blog is not available in mobile view on some devices. If you are on a mobile, select 'View web version' at the bottom of the page.

Excited to see what everyone will be dressing up as for Halloween! If you would like more information on outfits from Purple Moon, please refer to the Purple Moon Guides which can be found under the Purple Moon tab or in the Guide Index. Not all the Purple Moon items have had guides posted, so feel free to pick an option you do wear in the game that hasn't been included in a guide yet!

Character Descriptions - Part 9

In Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3, the characters you will encounter in the game have been given some rather amusing character descriptions. When you click on a NPC, it will bring up a preview of the character and some information about them. It will display their name and some brief information about their personality or hobbies. Some of the profile descriptions are pretty normal, but there are quite a few silly or ridiculous ones.

Here are a few examples of the amusing character descriptions of some of the NPC's in Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3. More posts to come because there seems to just be an abundance of these in the game.

Caprice Chalet - Cafe Rooms

At the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a rental category. This post will look at the Cafe themed rooms and renting them to characters.

Cafe themed rooms are set up like a small cafe and the room must be decorated with certain items to be catergorised as a cafe and not a bakery or kitchen. The room must have at least two cafe tables with chairs, a cafe counter and a cafe sign. There are a few different types of cafe signs you can use and they are found in the Shop Resources category. Other ideal miniatures you can use to decorate a cafe themed room include cafe doors, desert or bakery themed food miniatures and cafe shelves.

Characters will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With bakery themed rooms, the character will talk about how they've been wanting to throw a banquet for a long time but haven't been able to find the perfect venue. They will mention that they saw a room at Caprice Chalet that would be perfect for it.

The character will request to rent the room out and you can either select yes or no. The rental periods for rooms is 24 hours and renting out rooms is a good method for earning money without effort in the game.

Characters will stay in the Caprice Chalet room for about 24 hours. When you visit the Caprice Chalet, rooms that are rented out will have a small person icon displayed on them. If you select this room during the rental period, the character will tell you how they are going or how business is doing. Visit the room after the 24 hour period and the character is ready to leave the room. They will thank you for allowing them to rent the room and tell you how they went. The character will then pay you the rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for cafe themed rooms is $1000.

For more information on decorating rooms and the Caprice Chalet, please refer to Caprice Chalet Master Guide for links to all the Caprice Chalet and Miniatures guides.

Colour Palette - Unlocking Exotic Grape

Style Boutique 2 has an exciting feature of taking photos to unlock colours in the colour palette. These colours can be used for in various other parts of the game including hair and make-up colours. To unlock colours in the colour palette, you simply travel to different locations through the city and take photos of certain environments or items. Then visit Primrose Park and show Rainbow the photo you have taken to unlock the colour. This guide will detail how to unlock the colour Exotic Grape which some players have trouble triggering.

To unlock Exotic Grape, go to the train station and travel to Tropica Beach. You need to talk to Jewel in order to unlock the colour. She will appear on the far right hand side of the bottom 3DS screen. She does not always appear each time you visit. If Jewel has not appear, exit and travel to Tropica Beach until she appears. A good trick to use is to save and reload your game until she appears.

Select Jewel and she will talk to you about eating at the cafe and that they have a range of dishes on the menu. Once inside the cafe, Jewel will talk about how her dad found lots of fruits today

After this conversation, the game will show a short animation of your character looking at the fruit platter. This is when you need to take a photo to unlock the colour. The Exotic Grape colour is found on the grapes that are part of the fruit platter. The animation goes for a few seconds so you have some time to take a photo. In order to unlock the colour, you need to take a photo that looks like any of the three shown below.

After the animation has ended, Jewel will talk to you once more about the fruit platter. Once she has finished, exit Tropica Beach and head to Primrose Park. Talk to Rainbow and show her the photo to unlock Exotic Grape.

August Poll Results - Favourite Train Station Location

Another successful poll for this month has been completed! The question for August was 'What is your favourite train station location in Style Boutique 2?' and there was a 112 votes this month.

So the results are in and here are the results:
1st = Tropica Beach
2nd = The Meadows
3rd = Maple Crescent
4th = Bun-Bun Funland
5th = Bougainville
6th =  Restaurant

The results of this month poll surprised me! I totally thought the Meadows would be the winner but Tropica Beach took out the top spot. It's easy to see why Bougainville and Restaurant ranked second to last and last place because you can't talk to NPC's there and there isn't fun activities to take part in.

The new poll for the month of September is 'Who is your favourite character?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is under the game box images. If you cannot view the poll, please visit the blog using the web version. The blog is not available in mobile view on some devices. If you are on a mobile, select 'View web version' at the bottom of the page.

Excited to see who everyone's favourite character is and this one will be hard to guess a winner. There's a large number of characters to pick from! I can't even think of who my number favourite is and will have to think about that one.
