Apartment

When visiting your apartment, you can alter your characters appearance and take a look at items in your wardrobe. Enter your apartment from The Avenue and you will be brought to a menu screen with the following options:

Wardrobe
Change the outfit that your character is wearing. Your wardrobe contains the following items:
  • Items you have purchased at the Exhibition Hall.
  • Items you have designed through Designer Lounge Requests.
  • Items you have designed yourself.
  • Items you have downloaded from Caprice Chalet rooms (including other players designs).
  • Amiibo items you have scanned into the game.
  • DLC items you have downloaded.
All items available in your wardrobe appear under each section and you can use the search function to filter the items via the following categories: Type, Brand, Image, Colour, Pattern and Price.

Make-up
Here you can change the make-up your character is wearing. There are two options to chose: Use a existing make-up set or custom make-up. The custom option allows you to chose what colour/style/type of each make-up item you would like. This is ideal for when you are trying to get that certain look, i.e. crazy purple eye shadow with bright blue lipstick.

Designer Collection
This is where you can view clothing items you have downloaded from other players at the Caprice Chalet room. Designer Collection is similar to your portfolio as it showcases designs of clothing. Designs can be deleted from your portfolio. For more information, please refer to the Designer Collection guide.

Fashion Scrapbook
If you are in love with an outfit you are wearing, you can save it to your Fashion Scrapbook. The Fashion Scrapbook saves the entire outfit and selecting the outfit will dress your character in the outfit automatically. When meeting brand representatives for the first time, they will provide you with a complimentary outfit. These can be saved to the Fashion Scrapbook. In the photo below, four of the outfits have a stamp next to them that symbolises which brand the outfit is from. The outfit in the top right hand corner has no stamp as it is a custom outfit made from your wardrobe.

Save Menu & Change Currency
There are two small icons in the top left hand corner of the menu screen. The key icon allow you to save the game and return to the game menu screen. The coin icon allows you change the currency the game uses. I have the Australian version of the game, so I use the dollar sign currency.

Amiibo Items - Starry Dress

Style Boutique 2 has amiibo compatibility and unlocks special items for your character to wear. There are a number of amiibos available to scan into the game and when scanned, it generates a character based off the mii registered to the amiibo. A guide on how to use amiibos, compatible amiibos and the unlockable items can be found here.

You can obtain colour variations of certain amiibo items. To unlock amiibo items in different colours, you must first unlock the inital colour of the item (shown in the images in the amiibo guide). After this, keep re-scanning the amiibo until the character shows up in a new outfit. Different styles are associated to different colours, ie the black/yellow Yoshi Hoodie falls under the rock style so the customer will request a rock outfit. There are 5 different colours of each amiibo item to unlock.

Here are the five different colours of the Starry Dress which can be obtained by scanning the Rosalina amiibo.

Caprice Chalet - Room Codes Database

In Style Boutique 2, there is a feature that allows you do upload a Caprice Chalet room you have designed online for other players to visit. All you need to do is open you Phone Menu and select Connect. Tap Swap Rooms and you can upload a Caprice Chalet room online. The game will give you a room code that you can share with others.

To download a room, select the Download Room option and enter the code. The game will bring up a preview of the room and give you the option to download it to your Caprice Chalet. Sometimes rooms have been taken offline and the game will notify you if the room code you have enter is no longer active.

Here is the room I currently have on display at the room address 180-239-9851

Here is a list of Caprice Chalet rooms available to download. This list will continuously be updated with new room codes. Please leave your room code in the comments if you would like it added.

Caprice Chalet - Types of Rooms & Renting

There are a number of different types of rooms you can design at the Caprice Chalet and the type of room you design will affect the amount of rent you can collect from it. Customers will visit your boutique asking if they can use your room at the Caprice Chalet and will stay in the room for 24 hours. After this time, visit them at the Caprice Chalet and they will give you the rent money. Customers will pay between $300 to $1000 a day to use different types of rooms.

For information on decorating rooms, please refer to this guide.

The types of rooms you can design at the Caprice Chalet and the requirements for them include:

  • Bag Boutique - A room set up similar to a boutique but sells only handbags. Rent is $500.
  • Dining or Banquet Room - A room set up like a dining room with tables and chairs as if you would be sitting down to eat a meal.

Sometimes when a room has a certain item it in, customers will want the room just for that one item. For example, I designed a gothic looking bedroom and place a crystal ball in it. One customer wanted to use the room to relax whereas another wanted to use it for fortune telling. This often occurs with animal miniatures, a room could be themed as a florist but if you place an animal miniature, customers will refer to it as a pet room.

Here's some picture examples of the types of rooms.
