January Poll Results - Boutique Interior Style

January has come and gone so fast and so has another poll for the Style Boutique 2 blog! The question for January was 'What style do you decorate the interior of your boutique?' and there was 72 votes this month.

So the results are in on what style players use to decorate their boutique with and they are:
1st = Underwater Dreamscape (no set theme - Purple Moon brand)
2nd = Girly
3rd = Feminine
4th = Baby-Doll
5th = Rock & Chic
6th = Bold
7th = Preppy
8th = Lively, Psychedelic & Boho-Chic
9th = Basic, Sporty & Eastern

I was rather surprised at the style that won! I wasn't expecting Underwater Dreamscape to win as it has not set theme and you don't get certain customers with it. It is a nice interior design though, so I can understand why players pick it. No surprises that girly was second as that is one of the prettiest interior designs. A mix of styles for the remainder of the votes and unfortunately basic, sporty and eastern received no votes.

Underwater Dreamscape won the poll!

The new poll for February is 'At the Beautician, do you sell the pre-made sets or your own designs?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is under the game box images. If you cannot view the poll, please visit the blog using the web version. The blog is not available in mobile view on some devices. If you are on a mobile, select 'View web version' at the bottom of the page.

Character Descriptions Part 11

In Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3, the characters you will encounter in the game have been given some rather amusing character descriptions. When you click on a NPC, it will bring up a preview of the character and some information about them. It will display their name and some brief information about their personality or hobbies. Some of the profile descriptions are pretty normal, but there are quite a few silly or ridiculous ones.

Here are a few examples of the amusing character descriptions of some of the NPC's in Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3. More posts to come because there seems to just be an abundance of these in the game.

Hairstyles - Style Categories

There are a large number of hairstyles on offer in Style Boutique ranging from short styles to updos such as pigtails or cat ears. Some hairstyles are available straight away and most must be unlocked. To unlock new styles, you must use certain styles multiple times. For example to unlock the volumised side ponytail, you must use the side ponytail styles multiple times on customers that visit the hair salon. Some styles can only be unlocked by talking to certain NPC's around the city.

Hairstyles can be used during fashion shows and you can choose a style from the hairstyles listed in your portfolio. The game does not mention what theme/style each hairstyle belongs to so you need to do some experimenting to work out the theme of different hairstyles.

Caprice Chalet - Dog Themed Rooms

At the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a rental category. This post will look at the dog themed rooms and renting them to characters.

Dog themed rooms are a cute simple room that contains toy dog miniatures. To set up the room, layout a simple design for the room and be careful not to use items that will categorise to room as something else, i.e. crystal balls or food items. Dog themed rooms must contain about two or three toy dog miniature items. These items are available under the Plants and Animals category and there are three to collect: Toy Poodle, Beagle Puppy and Lemon Beagle Puppy. You can place the toy dog miniatures anywhere in the room such as the floor or on a carpet/rug .

Characters will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With dog themed rooms, the character will talk about how they would love to play with the toy dog in the room.

The character will request to rent the room out and you can either select yes or no. The rental periods for rooms is 24 hours and renting out rooms is a good method for earning money without effort in the game.

Characters will stay in the Caprice Chalet room for about 24 hours. When you visit the Caprice Chalet, rooms that are rented out will have a small person icon displayed on them. If you select this room during the rental period, the character will tell you how they are going or how business is doing. Visit the room after the 24 hour period and the character is ready to leave the room. They will thank you for allowing them to rent the room and tell you how they went. The character will then pay you the rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for dog themed rooms is $300.

For more information on decorating rooms and the Caprice Chalet, please refer to Caprice Chalet Master Guide for links to all the Caprice Chalet and Miniatures guides.

December Poll Results - New Style Boutique 3

2017 came to close recently and so did the final Style Boutique 2 poll for the year! The question for December was 'Will you be getting New Style Boutique 3/Style Savvy 4?' and there was 105 votes this month.

So the results are in on whether you will be getting the new game and here are the results:
1st = Yes!
2nd = Already Have It!
3rd = Sometime In The Future
4th = No

This poll was a pretty simple one and it looks like most players are enjoying the new game. 54% said that they will be getting the new game and I guess a large portion of these votes were players of Style Savvy 4 which was only released the other day. 20% said they already had a copy of the game and 16% were planning on getting it in the future. 8% said that they were not interested and would not be getting it.

The new poll for January is 'What style do you decorate the interior of your boutique?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is under the game box images. If you cannot view the poll, please visit the blog using the web version. The blog is not available in mobile view on some devices.
