Hairstyle Guide

There are a large number of hairstyles on offer in Style Boutique ranging from short styles to updos such as pigtails or cat ears. Some hairstyles are available straight away and most must be unlocked. To unlock new styles, you must use certain styles multiple times. For example to unlock the volumised side ponytail, you must use the side ponytail styles multiple times on customers that visit the hair salon. Some styles can only be unlocked by talking to certain NPC's around the city. These NPC's are Callie and her family in disguise and they provide you with special styles such as the Cat Ears or Sausage Curls. It can take some time to unlock all the styles. A good trick is to focus on giving customers to style you need to use to unlock the next one. All my customers for about an hour got side ponytails because I was trying to unlock all the side ponytails.

The hairstyles are divided into the following categories in the game.
Short = 12 styles.
Bob =  6 styles.
Medium = 7 styles.
Long =  8 styles.
Updo = 35 styles.
Fringes = 25 styles.

Some hair styles do not have a fringe option and the styles in the Bob category also fall under the short and medium categories. The pictures below show what each hairstyle looks like and all hairstyles (excluding fringes) were styled using the swept back fringe option. All hairstyles shown in this guide have Champagne as the main hair colour and Walnut as the highlight. You will be able to see where the highlights are featured on each hairstyle.

Make-Up Sets

Make-Up sets are available in a wide range of styles and colours and can greatly enhance your look. These sets can be used to display and sell at the Beautician, in fashion shows and for use with your own character. You can design your own make-up sets with the make-up components you desire and sell these at the Beautician.

To unlock the make-up sets, you must obtain a special item from characters around the city at different times of the week and year. Look for a character with a musical note above their head and talk to them to obtain the item. Once you have the item, take it to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give you a make-up set themed around the item you found. Please refer to the Make-Up Lab guide on how to use these sets and the Default Colours and Looks guide for the unique colours of each set.



There are 30 make-up sets to collect in the game. This guide details the name of the set, the item to collect and it's location, the time of week or year the item is available and the specific time the item is available.

Colour Palette Guide

Style Boutique 2 has an exciting feature of taking photos to unlock colours in the colour palette. These colours can be used for in various other parts of the game including hair and make-up colours.

To unlock colours in the colour palette, you simply travel to different locations through the city and take photos of certain environments or items. Then visit Primrose Park and show Rainbow the photo you have taken to unlock the colour. Rainbow will tell you if you have found a new colour or if the photo contains one you already have found.

For hints on colour locations, talk the NPC’s you have a rainbow exclamation mark above them and they’ll give you a hint of where a colour is located.

Some colours must have photos taken at certain times of the day or during different seasons. When visiting a location, you can press the L and R buttons to cycle through different views of the location. For example, cycling through the view at Cafetiere Close will allow you to view the chocolate cake scene.

The guide is separated into each colour section of the palette. Each section contains all the colours required for that set and the location you will find each colour. For example, to unlock Tabby Grey, visit Primrose Park during Morning/Afternoon and press L or R until you see the view with the cat sitting on the bench. Colours which are available from the beginning of the game are listed as default. All colours listed have the name from the EU/AU version of the game, some names are different in the Japanese version.
