Boutique - Designer Item Request

There are a number of different types of requests you will receive from characters who visit your Boutique. The requests are fairly simple to fulfill if you have the correct clothing items in stock that the customer is looking for. Occasionally customers will request an item that you have designed for a brand representative at the Designer Lounge.

When you have completed a commission request for a brand representative, the item is available in your portfolio. These items are available to sell to customers at your boutique. You cannot sell items you design for yourself via the second floor of your boutique and these can only be worn on your character or on mannequins at the Caprice Chalet.

The customer will usually talk about how they have heard rumours that you have designed a certain item, i.e. bag, shoes or dress. They will request to take a look at the item and the game will bring up the outfit selection screen like normal.

Custom design items appear with a shape around them and are found at the beginning of each clothing item section. The item does not need to exactly match the customers personal style and they will often purchase items that don't match their outfit at all. Select the item to show the customer.

If the customer is pleased with the item you have shown them (which is most of the time with these requests), they will purchase the item

The tricky part about these requests is that you may have deleted the item the customer is looking for from your Designer Portfolio as there is only so much space to store designs. You can reject customer requests for designer items if you do not have the item available. For example, this customer was requesting to look at a customer outer which unfortunately I had deleted from my stock and portfolio to make room for other items and designs. You can either reject the customer request straight away when they ask if you are sure you don't have that item in stock or when you are in the outfit selection screen.

The other thing with these types of requests is that customers will reject the item if they already own it. This happens often as you lose track of what items you have sold to customers before especially if a customer item has been in your inventory for a long time.

Here are some examples of customers wearing designer items, mainly ones that don't match at all.

This customer wore the design t-shirt under that original t-shirt.

The raindrop leggings do not match this outfit at all.

A perfect example of how designer items do not match the customer's original outfit.

Character Descriptions - Part 3

In Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3, the characters you will encounter in the game have been given some rather amusing character descriptions. When you click on a NPC, it will bring up a preview of the character and some information about them. It will display their name and some brief information about their personality or hobbies. Some of the profile descriptions are pretty normal, but there are quite a few silly or ridiculous ones.

Here are a few examples of the amusing character descriptions of some of the NPC's in Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3. More posts to come because there seems to just be an abundance of these in the game.

Caprice Chalet - Fortune Teller Room

At the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a rental category. This post will look at the Fortune Teller themed rooms and renting them to characters.

Fortune Teller rooms are pretty simple to explain, they are rooms set up like a Fortune Teller's business. The main item this type of room requires is a crystal ball. Even if you decorate a gothic themed room such as a bedroom and place a crystal ball in it, they may refer to it as a fortune teller room. There are three different coloured crystal balls available to collect in the game. Fortune Teller rooms can be set up with a gothic theme and there is plenty of dark coloured furniture pieces that you can use.

Characters will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With fortune teller themed rooms, the character ask you if you've heard of the local fortune teller and that they would like to try to do her job.

The character will request to rent the room out and you can either select yes or no. The rental periods for rooms is 24 hours and renting out rooms is a good method for earning money without effort in the game.

Characters will stay in the Caprice Chalet room for about 24 hours. When you visit the Caprice Chalet, rooms that are rented out will have a small person icon displayed on them. If you select this room during the rental period, the character will tell you how they are going or how business is doing. Visit the room after the 24 hour period and the character is ready to leave the room. They will thank you for allowing them to rent the room and tell you how they went. The character will then pay you the rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for fortune teller themed rooms is $1000.

For more information on decorating rooms and the Caprice Chalet, please refer to Caprice Chalet Master Guide for links to all the Caprice Chalet and Miniatures guides.
