St. Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day is celebrated in Style Boutique 2 on March 17th. Compared to the other holidays celebrated in the game, this holiday is only briefly mentioned by characters around the city. No special themed events occur on the day either.

If you visit the various shops around the city, the characters will greet you with St. Patrick's Day themed greetings. If you play the game on other special days such as birthdays and Halloween, characters will have similuar holiday themed greetings.

Head to the Exhibition Hall and you will be greeted by Laurie who will wish you a Happy Valentines Day.

Visit each of the brand stores to receive a Valentine's themed greeting from the brand representatives. The representative will talk about wearing the colour green or recommend buying an item that is green.

Stylettos

In Style Boutique 2, there is a local girl group who will visit you at various shops around the city requesting a make-over. This group is the Stylettos and it's up to you to give them a make-over before their next concert. The Stylettos is made up of Amber, Ruby and Sapphire and the Stylettos story line will constantly appear in the game as it cycles back around each time you complete the make-over. Each member of the Stylettos have a favourite colour and the items you choose for them should match this colour. Ruby's colour is red, Amber is yellow and Sapphire is dark blue.

The Stylettos story line begins with the girls appearing at your Boutique. They will be shown as an NPC with the stars symbol. Select the first Styletto who will be Ruby and she will request you give her a make-over. She needs to keep changing her looks for the fans and would like a new item for their outfit.

Select the search function and select the colour search option. Select red and it will bring up all the clothes available that would be suitable for Ruby. All the Stylettos requests are the same (apart from the colours), they will accept any item regardless of theme as long as it matches their favourite colour. They do not have a particular brand or theme they prefer more. The frustrating part about the Stylettos is that they can never work out how to layer clothing properly, for example they will place a dress over the top they were already wearing even though it looks silly. The Stylettos only require one item to be sold to them and you cannot sell them more than one. Here is Ruby in her new outfit that kinda matches.

Ruby will comment that the item you give her is exactly what she was after and will then inform you that she would like you to do her hair as well. She will next appear at the Hair Salon and the remaining two Stylettos will appear at your Boutique requesting an outfit.

Amber will show up next asking for a new clothing item for her outfit. Her favourite colour is yellow. Select yellow in the search function and choose an item for her. Below is a picture of Amber in her badly matching outfit which is the perfect example of how the Stylettos will just layer items in the worst way.

Sapphire is the last Styletto to appear at your boutique. There is a small glitch in the game that players have experienced where Sapphire will not appear straight after the other two Stylettos. Other players have reported if they gave her the wrong item, she doesn't appear for over 2 weeks. The solution to these glitches is just to wait until she appears again. Sapphire will appear again but sometimes it can take between 1 to 3 weeks.

Sapphire's colour is dark blue and she will not accept items that are light blue. If you give her the wrong item (or any of the other girls), she will tell you how it doesn't match her image and will reject the item. She will disappear and you will need to wait for her to reappear at your Boutique.

Caprice Chalet - Sewing Room Themed Rooms

At the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a rental category. This post will look at the sewing room themed rooms and renting them to characters.

Sewing themed rooms are set up to look like a studio or sewing room a designer would work out of. They must contain a sewing machine, sewing table and a number of bust items from the clothing display miniatures section. You can also place down a few small miniatures such as the sewing kit and other decorative items. Sewing themed rooms are simiular to boutique rooms as they will feature a large amount of clothing items displayed on busts. It can be tricky to find the right amount of busts and displays needed for a sewing room as if there is the incorrect amount, characters will not request to rent out the room at all as it has no certain theme. Three to four busts plus a clothing display rack is a good amount to place in the room.

Characters will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With sewing room themed rooms, the character will talk about how they love your designs you have been making at the Designer Lounge and would love to make clothes just like you.

The character will request to rent the room out and you can either select yes or no. The rental periods for rooms is 24 hours and renting out rooms is a good method for earning money without effort in the game.

Characters will stay in the Caprice Chalet room for about 24 hours. When you visit the Caprice Chalet, rooms that are rented out will have a small person icon displayed on them. If you select this room during the rental period, the character will tell you how they are going or how business is doing. Visit the room after the 24 hour period and the character is ready to leave the room. They will thank you for allowing them to rent the room and tell you how they went. The character will then pay you the rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for sewing room themed rooms is $1000.

For more information on decorating rooms and the Caprice Chalet, please refer to Caprice Chalet Master Guide for links to all the Caprice Chalet and Miniatures guides.

Spring has arrived in Style Boutique 2 and Style Savvy 3 and that means new make-up sets are available! The four sets available during the month of March include:
  • Garden Green
  • Butterfly Flight
  • Easter Egg
  • Heart 2 Heart

To unlock the Garden Green set, you need to visit the Meadows during March to November between 6:00am and 11:59am. A NPC will appear with a musical note and talk to them to receive the Ivy with Leaf item. Take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give you the Garden Green set in return. If the NPC does not appear for you at first, save and reload the game or re-enter the area.
