Beautician - Arabella's Surprise Make-Over Sets

When visiting the Beautician, you can ask Arabella to surprise you with a make-over! Talk to Arabella and she will give you with a make-over tailored around a certain style.

There are five styles available to choose from:

Cute - Girly, Baby-Doll, Lively and Preppy.
Cool - Bold, Rock, Basic and Sporty.
Vibrant - Lively, Sporty and Psychedelic.
Natural - Feminine, Chic, Bold, Basic and Preppy.
Unique - Psychedelic, Boho, Eastern, Gothic, Rock and Chic.

Select Arabella who is the NPC with the cash register icon and select the Surprise Me option. Each make-over costs $150 and the bottom 3DS screen displays the five styles available to choose from. Select the style you want and Arabella will explain it briefly. Once you have selected the style you want, a short animation will play showing Arabella doing your makeup.

Each style has three different make-up sets that Arabella may give you. It is completely random at which make-up set she will use and even if you repeat the process right after your make-over with the same style, you may get the exact same make-up applied.

Here is a list of all the sets and the defaults colours and styles that Arabella provides for a surprise make-over. The sections for mascara, blush and lipstick have extra information. Mascara lists which the thickness option, blush lists the blush option and lipstick lists whether the lipstick is matte or glossy. The colours in the palettes need to be unlocked and please refer to the Colour Palette Guide on how to unlock colours.

Make-Up Sets - New Sets Available In March

Spring has arrived in Style Boutique 2 and Style Savvy 3 and that means new make-up sets are available! There are four make-up sets available to unlock during the month of March and these sets can also be unlocked during other months of the year as well. The four sets available during the month of March include:

Garden Green
Butterfly Flight
Easter Egg
Heart 2 Heart

To unlock the Garden Green set, you need to visit the Meadows during March to November between 6:00am and 11:59am. A NPC will appear with a musical note and talk to them to receive the Ivy with Leaf item. Take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give you the Garden Green set in return. If the NPC does not appear for you at first, save and reload the game or re-enter the area.

To unlock the Butterfly Flight set, you need to visit the Meadows during March to June between 12:00pm and 3:39pm. A NPC will appear with a musical note and talk to them to receive the Pink Butterfly item. Take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give you the Butterfly Flight set in return. If the NPC does not appear for you at first, save and reload the game or re-enter the area.

To unlock the Easter Egg set, you need to visit Station Square during March to April at any time of the day. A NPC will appear with a musical note and talk to them to receive the Easter Egg item. Take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give you the Easter Egg set in return. If the NPC does not appear for you at first, save and reload the game or re-enter the area.

To unlock the Heart 2 Heart set, you need to load up the game during the months of March to May and a NPC will appear once you exit your apartment. They will give you the Seal of Heart item and take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give you the Heart 2 Heart set in return. If the NPC does not appear for you at first, save and reload the game or re-enter the area. Please note this guide is based off how to unlock it in the Japanese and EUR/AUS version of the game. This particular set may be different to unlock in Style Savvy but players have noted this method works.

Make-Up Sets - New Set Available in January

Now that January is finally here, a new make-up set is available to unlock in Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3. The set is the My Valentine set which is a cute chocolate and love themed set featuring brown tones.

To unlock the My Valentine set, you need to visit Cafetiere Close during January and February between 6:00 am and 11:59 am. A NPC will appear with a musical note and talk to them to receive the Chocolate Cupcake item. Take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give the My Valentine set in return. If the NPC does not appear for you at first, save and reload the game or re-enter the area.

The default colours and make-up styles of the My Valentine set are as follows:

Eyebrows = Page 2 – Fine Soft Arch
Eyeshadow = Light Browns - Tiramisu
Eyeliner = Light Browns – Mahogany
Mascara = Reds – Piano (Third thickness option)
Coloured Contacts = Light Browns - Tiramisu
Blusher = Light Browns – Tiramisu (First blush option)
Lipstick = Reds – Glamorous Garnet (Matte)

Another set is available to unlock during January. This set is the Winter Memories set and this can unlocked anytime from December to February. To unlock the Winter Memories set, you need to visit the Meadows via the Train Station during the months stated between 6:00 am and 11:59. A NPC will appear with a musical note and talk to them to receive the Mini Snowman item. Take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give the Winter Memories set in return

The default colours and make-up styles of the Winter Memories set are as follows:

Eyebrows = Page 5 – Short Bold Round
Eyeshadow = Blues – Blue Lagoon
Eyeliner = Greens – Emerald Ocean
Mascara = Light Browns – Chestnut (Second thickness option)
Coloured Contacts = Blues – Electric Blue
Blusher = Pinks – Strawberry Pink (Second blush option)
Lipstick = Reds – Hot Pepper (Matte)

Make-Up Sets - Default Colours & Looks

Style Boutique 2 has special make-up sets that you can unlock through collecting special items from NPC characters and giving them to Tarquin at the Beautician. These sets can be used to create your own make-up sets and sold at the Beautician. Each of the special sets has its own unique colour palette and this guide will cover the default colours and styles included in the make-up sets.

Please refer to the Make-Up Set guide on how to unlock each set and the Make-Up Lab guide on how to create make-up sets. The colours in the palettes need to be unlocked and please refer to the Colour Palette Guide on how to unlock colours.

The guide lists the make-up set and the defaults of each make-up feature. Next, the section that the colour is found is listed (i.e. pinks or blues) and the name of the colour used (i.e. City Pink or Electric Blue). The sections for mascara, blush and lipstick have extra information. Mascara lists which the thickness option, blush lists the blush option and lipstick lists whether the lipstick is matte or glossy. The picture below shows the 3 options available for those sections.

Orchid Purple

Eyebrows = Page 2 – Fine flat

Eyeshadow = Blues/Purples – Lilac

Eyeliner = Blues/Purples – Lavender

Mascara = Greyscale – Jet Black (Third thickness option)

Coloured Contacts = Purples – Exotic Grape

Blusher = Pinks – Baby Pink (First blush option)

Lipstick = Purples – Rebel Violet (Glossy)

Wide-Eyed Wonder

Eyebrows = Page 3 - Ultra Fine Arch

Eyeshadow = Pinks – Cherry Blossom

Eyeliner = Light Browns - Tiramisu

Mascara = Dark brown – Bitter Chocolate (Second thickness option)

Coloured Contacts = Light Brown – Sawtooth Oak

Blusher = Pinks – Cherry Blossom (First blush option)

Lipstick = Pinks – Cherry Blossom (Glossy)

Eyebrows = Page 4 – Fine Round

Eyeshadow = Pinks – Baby Pink

Make-Up Lab

There is a feature to develop your own make-up sets in Style Boutique 2. Visit the Beautician and click the 1F icon in the top left hand corner of the bottom 3DS screen to visit the Make-Up Lab.

If you have collected a make-up set item from an NPC, Tarquin will ask to see the item soon as you enter the Make-up Lab. Give him the item and he will present you with a special make-up set based off the item. For a list of all the make-up sets and how to unlock them, please visit the Make-Up Set Guide.

There is a feature to develop your own make-up sets in Style Boutique 2. Visit the Beautician and click the 1F icon in the top left hand corner of the bottom 3DS screen to visit the Make-Up Lab.

There are three options to choose from at the Make-Up Lab: Display, Make-Up Lab and Make-Up Box.

Display

You are able to display three make-up sets for sale on the ground floor of the Beautician. Customers will ask to purchase these sets, even male customers. Male customers will comment that are buying it for someone or there is a few characters that are buying it for their collection. Female customers will ask to try it on. Try displaying three make-up sets that vary in colour and looks.

Make-Up Lab

This is the option that allows you to create your own make-up set. First you select one of the make-up sets provided by Tarquin and the appearance of the set your choose will be the appearance of the set you create, i.e. if you pick the Fairy Apple set, your set will have the same appearance as that one with the giant apple and mirror.

Next, you can select all the colours of your make-up set palette. You can choose customise the following options: Eyebrows, Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Mascara, Coloured Contacts, Blush and Lipstick. You can also choose a certain style of mascara thickness/look, position of blush and matte or glossy lipstick.

Once you are happy with your make-up set palette, click ok and you are given the option to give your make-up set a name. Once finished, your set is available for use in game features such as your apartment and fashion shows.

Creating a make-up set from one of the sets provided by Tarquin does not erase the original set. The original make-up set is available still at the make-up lab. It’s useful to create a straight copy of the set to your make-up box right after your unlock it as make-up sets are only available for use that are saved to your make-up box. Make-Up Box

All of the make-up sets you have created in the Make-Up Lab feature are saved here and are available for use in other features of the game. There are options to scrap sets or change their name.

Make-Up Sets

Make-Up sets are available in a wide range of styles and colours and can greatly enhance your look. These sets can be used to display and sell at the Beautician, in fashion shows and for use with your own character. You can design your own make-up sets with the make-up components you desire and sell these at the Beautician.

To unlock the make-up sets, you must obtain a special item from characters around the city at different times of the week and year. Look for a character with a musical note above their head and talk to them to obtain the item. Once you have the item, take it to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give you a make-up set themed around the item you found. Please refer to the Make-Up Lab guide on how to use these sets and the Default Colours and Looks guide for the unique colours of each set.

There are 30 make-up sets to collect in the game. This guide details the name of the set, the item to collect and it's location, the time of week or year the item is available and the specific time the item is available.
