April Poll Results - Updating Caprice Chalet Room
The question for February was 'How often do you update your online Caprice Chalet room?' So the results are in on how often players update their rooms for download at the Caprice Chalet and the results are:
1st = Never
2nd = Every So Often
3rd = Monthly
4th = Weekly
5th = Daily & Fortnightly
Now this months question was an interesting one as most players are probably playing New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star now and don't play Fashion Forward anymore. It made me laugh at how 'never' came out first and makes you think how many players haven't updated their rooms in years! I know of some players who still update their room monthly, so that's why that time period ranked highly in the poll. To be honest, I only updated my room every so often when I was playing Fashion Forward. I'm planning to update it soon so keep an eye out for that!
The new poll for May is 'Do you prefer Fashion Shows or Modelling Jobs?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is under the game box images. If you cannot view the poll, please visit the blog using the web version. The blog is not available in mobile view on some devices. If you are on a mobile, select 'View web version' at the bottom of the page.

March Poll Results - Favourite Designer Item
The question for February was 'What is your favourite item to design?' and there was 60 votes this month.
So the results are in on what style players use to decorate their boutique with and they are:
1st = Dresses
2nd = Special - School Uniforms
3rd = Special - Camisole/Corset Set
4th = Tights & Shoes
5th = T-Shirts & Bags
Dresses was number one with a large portion of the votes. It wasn't surprising since most designers I see from players are dresses and even in Styling Star, dresses are quite popular. Tights are my personal favourite to design as they were the only designer item I tend to wear in the game.

The character will then pay you the rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for beautician themed rooms is $1000.

Beautician - Magda's Sister Request
When working at the Beautician in Style Boutique 2, you may come across a customer who claims to be Magda's twin sister. A girl named Polly claims she is the twin sister of Magda who is the local fortune teller. She tells you that Madga has no memory of her and requests that you give her a make-over to look just like her. She hopes that that will trigger her memory of them being sisters.
She will give you a photo to reference for the make-up. Magda wears gothic style make-up and the game will tell you the colours of each make-up item. You can pick any tone in that colour (i.e. purple) and you do need to match it exactly. For example, the game asks for a purple tone, you can pick any tone from the purple palette.
After the make-over, the truth is revealed that Polly is not Magda's twin sister and just idolises her mysterious persona. Polly become caught up in mimicking Magda that she forgot who she truly was. This request is similar to the copycat Five Sister requests that appear in the game.

Caprice Chalet - Cat Themed Rooms
At the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a rental category. This post will look at the cat themed rooms and renting them to characters.
Cat themed rooms are a cute simple room that contains toy cat miniatures. To set up the room, layout a simple design for the room and be careful not to use items that will categorise to room as something else, i.e. crystal balls or food items. Cat themed rooms must contain about two or three toy cat miniature items. These items are available under the Plants and Animals category and there are three to collect: Grey Tabby Cat Toy, Tabby Cat Toy and Black Cat Toy. You can place the toy cat miniatures anywhere in the room such as the floor or on a cabinet.
Characters will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With cat themed rooms, the character will talk about how they would love to play with the toy cat in the room.

January Poll Results - Boutique Interior Style
January has come and gone so fast and so has another poll for the Style Boutique 2 blog! The question for January was 'What style do you decorate the interior of your boutique?' and there was 72 votes this month.
So the results are in on what style players use to decorate their boutique with and they are:
1st = Underwater Dreamscape (no set theme - Purple Moon brand)
2nd = Girly
3rd = Feminine
4th = Baby-Doll
5th = Rock & Chic
6th = Bold
7th = Preppy
8th = Lively, Psychedelic & Boho-Chic
9th = Basic, Sporty & Eastern
I was rather surprised at the style that won! I wasn't expecting Underwater Dreamscape to win as it has not set theme and you don't get certain customers with it. It is a nice interior design though, so I can understand why players pick it. No surprises that girly was second as that is one of the prettiest interior designs. A mix of styles for the remainder of the votes and unfortunately basic, sporty and eastern received no votes.
The new poll for February is 'At the Beautician, do you sell the pre-made sets or your own designs?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is under the game box images. If you cannot view the poll, please visit the blog using the web version. The blog is not available in mobile view on some devices.
