Throughout
the game, the main NPC's will visit your boutique to request new
outfits. Some characters request new outfits for an event or as their
normal outfit they wear in game. Each character has their own personal
style and a list of each characters style can be found here.
Arabella runs the local beautician along with her brother Tarquin. Arabella will visit you boutique requesting a new outfit to wear as her normal outfit.
Ararbella's
personal style is bold and likes items from the AZ-USA brand. Select the image 'bold'
and design an outfit based around this
style. Remember to choose clothing items appropriate for the season,
i.e. you cannot wear just a tank top in winter as the character will
remark how they will get cold. Each character will have a budget you
will need to stay within and you can go slightly over the budget by
about $80. Once you are happy with the outfit, select Ok.
You
can select either 'Try It On' or 'Take A Look' when showing the
character the outfit you have chosen. Select the 'Try It On' option if
you are confident they will like the outfit or if you select 'Take A
Look', you will get 3 tries to try to impress the character with an
outfit.
If
you chose 'Try It On' and the character is highly impressed with the
outfit, the game will play a short animation showing the character in
their new outfit. The background of the animation changes depending on
the style the character is wearing.
Looks
like Arabella is impressed with her new outfit. She will tell you what
aspects she likes about it and usually will comment on how bold it is.
During this scene, characters will give you hints on the styles and
colours that they look for in an outfit. Arabella likes clothing items that feature animal patterns.
After
this, Arabella will pay you for the outfit and the amount is added to
your money in-game. Arabella will comment on how she will keep the outfit on and head to her little soiree she is having with some beauty industry people. She will invite you to visit her at the Restaurant which can be accessed via the train station. You do
not need to meet her immediately and can visit whenever you like. When
visiting the Restaurant with Arabella, she will ask to take a photo with you
and give you a miniature item as a gift.
Another successful poll for this month has been completed! The question for July was 'What is your favourite job in Style
Boutique 2?' and there was a large amount of votes this month.
So the results are in and here are the results:
1st = Boutique Owner
2nd = Hairdresser
3rd = Photo Shoot Model
4th = Designer
5th = Make-Up Artist
6th = Fashion Show Model
This months poll was an easy guess at what would be number one as the Boutique Owner is the best job in the game and the one you spend the most time doing. I can see why Fashion Show Model came in last because the fashion shows are so frustrating to get a good score in.
The
new poll for the month of August is 'What is your favourite train station location?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is
under the game box images. If you cannot view the poll, please visit the
blog using the web version. The blog is not available in mobile view on
some devices. If you are on a mobile, select 'View web version' at the
bottom of the page.
Excited
to see what everyone's favourite location to visit is in the game. I'd say I love the Meadows because of the beautiful landscapes and fun activities, but Maple Crescent is fun to visit as well.
At
the Caprice Chalet, you can create different themed rooms and rent them
to characters in the game. Only certain themed rooms can be rented out
to characters and must have specific items placed in them to fit into a
rental category. This post will look at the flower themed rooms and
renting them to characters.
Flower themed rooms are ones that are decorated with a wide variety of flowers and feature miniatures focused on gardening supplies. Flower themed rooms are similar to Florists but not the same. Flower themed rooms are not a shop and customers will not refer to them as a shop. They will refer to them as a place to visit because they love flowers. Ideal items to use to decorate a flower themed room includes any of the plant/flower items, florist display and gardening themed items found in the miscellaneous category. Make-up sets themed around flowers or the environment are perfect to place in the room as well.
Characters
will appear at your boutique with a small house symbol above their
head. Select this character and they will tell you how they noticed a
room at the Caprice Chalet that had a certain theme. With flower themed rooms, the character will talk about how much they love being surrounded with flowers.
The
character will request to rent the room out and you can either select
yes or no. The rental periods for rooms is 24 hours and renting out
rooms is a good method for earning money without effort in the game.
Characters
will stay in the Caprice Chalet room for about 24 hours. When you visit
the Caprice Chalet, rooms that are rented out will have a small person
icon displayed on them. If you select this room during the rental
period, the character will tell you how they are going or how business
is doing. Visit the room after the 24 hour period and the character is
ready to leave the room. They will thank you for allowing them to rent
the room and tell you how they went. The character will then pay you the
rental fee for using the room. The rental fee for flower themed rooms is
$500.
For more information on decorating rooms and the Caprice Chalet, please refer to Caprice Chalet Master Guide for links to all the Caprice Chalet and Miniatures guides.
Style
Boutique features a wide range of characters to meet during the course
of the game. The main characters
play a certain roles within the game, i.e. runs the hair salon or works
at the Exhibition Hall. Each main character has a designated outfit the game gives them. You will however have the chance to alter the outfit of some of the main characters at your Boutique.
This guide will look at one of Sophie's outfits she wears in the game. Sophie's style focuses on girly fashion and she is often seen wearing cute dresses and berets. Here is an picture of Sophie wearing the outfit the game assigns to her during the warmer months of the game. You can alter her outfit when she requests it at your Boutique. She will change her outfit herself when the seasons change in the game.
The following items make up Sophie's outfit:
- Marble Lily - Bell Sleeve Bolero (Cream)

In
Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3, the characters you will encounter in the
game have been given some rather amusing character descriptions. When
you click on a NPC, it will bring up a preview of the character and some
information about them. It will display their name and some brief
information about their personality or hobbies. Some of the profile
descriptions are pretty normal, but there are quite a few silly or
ridiculous ones.
Here
are a few examples of the amusing character descriptions of some of the
NPC's in Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3. More posts to come because
there seems to just be an abundance of these in the game.
