Make-Up Sets - New Set Available in June

Now that June is finally here, a new make-up set is available to unlock in Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy 3. The set is the Homemade Broth which is a garden themed set that features orange and green tones.

To unlock the Homemade Broth set, you need to visit Cafetiere Close during June, July or August between 6:00 am and 11:59 am. A NPC will appear with a musical note and talk to them to receive the Carrot item. Take this item to Tarquin on the second floor of the Beautician and he will give the Homemade Broth set in return. If the NPC does not appear for you at first, save and reload the game or re-enter the area.

The default colours and make-up styles of the Homemade Broth set are as follows:

• Eyebrows = Page 4 – Fine Round
• Eyeshadow = Oranges - Marmalade
• Eyeliner = Oranges - Maple
• Mascara = Yellow/Greens – Green Shadow (Second thickness option)
• Coloured Contacts = Yellow/Greens - Mint
• Blusher = Oranges – Gerbera (First blush option)
• Lipstick = Reds – Hibiscus (Matte)

 

During the month of June, the Butterfly Flight set is still available to unlock at the Meadows and the Wedding Bells set is still available to unlock at the Lovers Bells at Tropica Beach. For more information on how to unlock these make-up sets, please visit the Make-Up Set guide.

Colour Palette - Summer Colours Now Available

With the change of season from Spring to Summer, new colours are available to unlock in the colour palette. One colour can only be unlocked during Summer and the other can also be unlocked during Winter. For more information on locations of colours in Style Boutique 2 and Style Savvy 3, please refer to the Colour Palette Guide.

To unlock the following colours, take photos at the following locations with the correct conditions.

Willow Green - Maple Crescent (Willow Tree during Summer and Winter)
Emerald Ocean - Tropica Beach (Ocean in Summer during Morning and Evening)

QR Codes

A variety of Nintendo games feature the option to unlock new items via scanning a QR Code provided by Nintendo. This feature is included in Style Boutique 2 and Style Boutique 2 however no QR Codes have been released for either game. So the QR Code option is unfortunately not usable in the western versions of the game and is only available in Girls Mode 3 in Japan. 

There are no plans to release QR Codes for the western versions of the game. 

The QR Code option is available from the Add-On Items menu at the game start screen. Even if you attempt to scan in a Girls Mode 3 QR Code into your game, the game will inform you no items are available for download in your region.

Purple Moon - Cat Ears Hairbands

The Purple Moon brand in Style Boutique 2 sells a variety of fun costume outfits. The brand is found on the third floor of the Exhibition Hall and the brand representative is Eliza. One of the costume outfits that can be purchased from Purple Moon are the Cat Ears Hairbands. Each item in the outfit costs $990.00. The Cat Ears are available in the following styles: leopard print or tartan print.

The Leopard Ear Hairbands fall under the Bold and Rock styles and are available in the following colours: 

• Black
• Blue
• Purple
• Hot Pink
• Turquoise
• Yellow

The Tartan Cat Ear Hairbands fall under the Lively and Rock styles and are available in the following colours: 

• White/Light Blue
• Green/Yellow
• White/Green
• Orange/Turquoise
• White/Red
• Pink/Red
• Purple/Pink
• White/Pink
• Black/Red
• Blue/Pink
• Black/Pink

Another set of Cat Ears are available with the Cat Outfit. However these ears are part of that specific outfit and the ears listed in this guide are separate from the outfit. They can be worn with the outfit if you wish. Information on the Cat Outfit can be found here.

Game Title Screen - Other Menu

From the game title screen, there is an option you can select titled 'Other'. From this menu, you will be presented with a number of options. Here you can watch movies from the game, access the Men's Fashion section and a few other options.

There are five options available on the Other menu:

• Manage Data
• Watch Movies
• Men's Fashion
• Spotpass
• Change Character

Manage Data allows you to delete your save data for your game. Be careful if you select this option, as it will delete you entire save file of the game. Only select this option if you wish to start the game from the beginning or you no longer need your save file as you may be trading or selling the game.

Watch Movies allows you watch movies/cut scenes that played during the main story line of the game. You can also watch the intro movie that plays when you first load the game up. There are only three movies available to view.  

Men's Fashion allows you to change the outfits of the male characters that appear in the game. If you had played the previous installment in the game series, men's fashion was included at your Boutique. This was removed in this installment in the series and this is the only way you can change male characters outfits. This option will unlock once you complete the main story line of the game. Spotpass allows you to receive streetpass rooms from other 3DS players with Style Boutique/Style Savvy 3 and allows Nintendo to send you useful information related to the game. Nintendo hasn't sent out any information via spotpass for the European/Australian version and may be the same for the North American version.

Change Character allows you to alter your character's appearance and this option unlocks once you complete the main story line of the game. You are presented with the same options you had at the beginning of the game when you had to design your character. The customisation options available include:

• Face Shape - 3 options
• Eye Style - 25 options
• Eye Colour - 5 options
• Eyebrows - 20 options
• Lip Style - 15 options
• Beauty Mark - 7 options
• Freckles - 2 options
• Skin Tone - 8 options
• Height - 3 options 

Spring-Summer DLC Sets

There is a DLC set available that is based around the Spring and Summer seasons. It features two brands already in the game: Marzipan Sky and AZ-USA. The set features clothing items that showcase a fresh new look for those warmer days. All DLC in Style Boutique is free to download and requires an e-shop account. DLC items can only be worn by your own character and cannot be sold in your boutique. To download DLC, select the Add-on Items option on the game's start menu. Press the Select Add-on Items option and it will redirect you to the e-Shop. Next you will be taken to a menu that displays all the DLC available for download in your region. The Spring-Summer DLC set is currently available for Girls Mode 3 (Japan), Style Boutique 2 (Europe and Australia) and Style Savvy 3 (North America).

The Spring-Summer Set is made up of 4 items and can be accessed through the wardrobe option at your Apartment. The items included in the DLC includes:

Caprice Chalet Miniatures - Tables

There is a wide variety of miniatures to collect in Style Boutique 2/Style Savvy and these can be used to decorate rooms at the Caprice Chalet or at your Boutique. Miniatures fall under different categories and this guide will detail all the Tables items available. Miniatures can be obtained by purchasing them at the Miniatures Shop or by receiving them as gifts through the following methods:

• Attending events with NPC's characters, i.e. visit the Restaurant with Adelaide.
• Complete Design Requests from brand representatives.
• Having your fortune told by Magda who came be found at train station locations.
• Visiting Sasha's shows at the Live Music Club.
• Completing modelling requests at the Photo Studio.
• Purchasing clothes from the Exhibition Hall - once you have purchase a certain amount of items from a brand, the representative will provide you with a special miniature of their clothing.
• Completing the Fashion Show. Ricky will provide you with a miniature item. 
• Talking to NPC characters with musical notes.
